Privacy Policy

We've added additional details to the Privacy Shield section that elaborates on the liability in the case of transferring data to 3rd parties. We've also pointed out that DSC is subject to FTC oversight.

Here is the section that has been updated:

DSC complies with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework(s) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of Personal Information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States. DSC has certified to the Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles and is subject to the investigatory and enforcement power of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission ("FTC"). If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the Privacy Shield Principles, the Privacy Shield Principles shall govern. To learn more about the Privacy Shield program, and to view our certification, please visit https://www.privacyshield.gov.

We may share Personal Information with service providers that we have retained to perform services on our behalf. We require service providers to whom we disclose Personal Information to either (i) subscribe to the Privacy Shield Principles or (ii) contractually agree to provide at least the same level of protection for Personal Information as is required by the relevant Privacy Shield Principles. If the third party does not comply with its privacy obligations, DSC will take commercially reasonable steps to prevent or stop the disclosure of Personal Information to such service provider. If a third party to whom we have transferred Personal Information from the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland processes Personal Information in a manner inconsistent with the Privacy Shield Principles, DSC will be responsible unless we can prove that we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damages.
